How to set up custom pre-order emails
Some considerations when deciding how to use pre-order emails
If you are using selling plans in Timesact Preorder, the Selling Plan name is automatically pulled into your Shopify confirmation emails as a cart line item. Your customers will be informed about shipping conditions or whatever other information you choose to highlight in that field.
For example:

It is not mandatory to send a follow-up email regarding the status of the pre-orders.
If you are not using selling plans or want an extra email sent out to emphasize that certain items are on pre-order and will be shipped later (or under other conditions), you can choose to turn on pre-order emails by following the steps below:
Custom preorder emails sent by Timesact Preorder do not disable the confirmation emails sent by Shopify. Customers will still receive those confirmation emails.
If you enable the Timesact preorder emails, they will be sent from the preorder@timesact.com inbox. Currently, it is not possible to send these emails from your specific domain. Note: that is on our roadmap.
Make sure you enable the cart label on your preorder template.

Edit your pre-order email template.

Turn on pre-order emails.

Checking sent emails
As orders are placed by customers, pre-order emails get sent out. You can check a list of notifications that were sent as of January 2025 (app update).
Just go to the Orders tab in the app. Tap on the Notifications tab, where you will see who received a pre-order email and when.

This is how the email will look in the customer's inbox:
