In Stock Overview

Offering “In Stock” products with customized buttons, badges, and messages allows you to create a seamless, branded shopping experience even for regular inventory. It’s not just about availability. It’s about how you present it. With Timesact, you can elevate your storefront by highlighting bestsellers, labeling ready-to-ship items, or even promoting limited quantities to drive urgency and boost conversions.


By customizing how “In Stock” items appear and communicate with your customers, you can ensure consistency with your brand tone while also leveraging design and messaging to guide buyer behavior. Timesact’s seamless integration with Shopify automates button displays, badge overlays, and dynamic messages, all managed from a centralized dashboard without the need for code or manual updates.

Adding In Stock Products


  1. Select PRODUCTS > ADD PRODUCT, and choose the items you wish to display as in-stock products.


  1. Select the items to apply the In Stock feature to, including specific variants if needed. You can select multiple products at once.


  1. On the Add Products screen, choose one of three selection methods:
  • By Products: Select individual products or variants.
  • By Collection: Apply settings to entire collections.
  • By Attributes: Filter products by tags, vendors, or other attributes.


  1. Once selected, click “Proceed” to configure your In Stock settings. You will be initially brought to the Pre-order settings. From this tab, you can disable pre-order and then head to the In Stock tab and enable it from there.


In Stock Settings


The In Stock feature allows you to personalize the display of readily available products, including the appearance of buttons, the presentation of messages, and the behavior of quantity limits.


Button Behavior & Messaging


Timesact allows you to replace the default “Add to Cart” button with custom wording and styles. You can also add additional messages under or beside the button to communicate key information, such as:

  • Shipping timelines (e.g., “Ships in 24 hours”)
  • Inventory urgency (e.g., “Only a few left!”)
  • Promotional badges (e.g., “Ready to Ship” or “In Stock Now”)

Discounts


You can attach automatic discounts to In Stock products to drive more conversions and reward customers instantly—no codes required.


  • Percentage Discount: Deduct a percentage from the regular price (e.g., 10% off).
  • Fixed Amount Discount: Subtract a set amount (e.g., $5 off).
  • Apply to all variants or select specific ones, depending on your promotional strategy.


If your product is already discounted via Shopify, be sure to check whether stackable discounts are appropriate for your promotion. Discounts applied through Timesact will display automatically based on your configuration.


Time Period (Optional)


  • Start Date: Select the date when your 'In Stock' settings become visible. Items will show as “Pending” before the start date.
  • End Date: Set an expiration for these settings, reverting the item to default Shopify behavior afterward.


All dates are based on UTC. If an item still shows "Pending" after your start time, try setting the start date a little earlier. Local time zone support is coming soon.
