Understanding Timesact Email Notifications
Clear communication builds trust, especially when customers are placing preorders or waiting for a restock. Timesact helps you keep that connection strong with simple, timely emails that update shoppers at the right moment. From confirming a preorder to letting someone know their favorite item is finally back on the shelf, these messages create a smooth and reassuring experience.
This guide walks you through the emails Timesact sends, how they support your customer journey, and how you can make each message feel on-brand and personal.
Preorders work best when customers feel confident about what they are buying and when they can expect it. Timesact helps support that confidence by sending helpful updates throughout the preorder journey. These touchpoints keep shoppers informed and reduce uncertainty, especially when fulfillment dates are still ahead.
Preorder emails reassure customers that:
- Their preorder was received successfully.
- They will be kept informed while they wait.
- Any changes to the expected shipping timeline will be communicated clearly.
With these meaningful updates, preorder communication feels personal, transparent, and customer-first.
Preorder Confirmation Email
The Preorder Confirmation Email gives customers immediate peace of mind. It confirms that their preorder went through and sets clear expectations from the very start.
To send this email, you need to enable two settings inside Timesact.
Enable the Email Inside Notifications
Go to Notifications > Preorder > Email, click Edit, and toggle the setting on.

From here, you can customize:
- Subject line
- Email body
- Store logo
- Any additional branding or message tone

Enable the Cart Label in Your Template
Next, activate the cart label in your template settings.
Go to Settings > View Templates > Preorder (or whichever template is assigned to your preorder product), click Edit, then open the Cart tab and enable the Cart Label from there.

Once both settings are enabled, the email sends automatically the moment a customer completes a preorder. They will receive:
- A standard order confirmation from Shopify
- A preorder confirmation from Timesact
What Information It Includes
The essentials customers want to see:
- Product and variant details
- Order summary
- Store information
- Expected shipping or fulfillment timeframe (if added in Timesact)
Notes for Merchants
- You can fully customize the message inside Timesact.
- This email helps reduce “Did my order go through?” support questions, especially for items that are not shipping immediately.
Preorder Shipping Delay Email
When fulfillment timelines change, keeping customers informed is essential. The Preorder Shipping Delay Email helps you deliver clear updates so shoppers know what to expect and feel confident that their preorder is still on track.
This message is designed to notify customers when there is a change to the expected shipping timeframe for their preorder, giving them a simple, transparent update at the right moment.
First, enable this feature in Notifications > Preorder > Shipping Delay, click Edit, and turn it on.

Same as the preorder confirmation email, you can customize it as well.
To send this email, go to the App Menu > Orders, select the orders affected, and click Send shipping delay email.

Back In Stock Email Notifications
When a product sells out, customers often want an easy way to know when they can buy it again. Timesact’s Back In Stock feature helps you capture that interest and bring shoppers back the moment inventory becomes available.
These emails reconnect customers with items they have already shown interest in. Whether it is a bestseller that just sold out or a seasonal piece returning for another run, the Back In Stock notification helps turn demand into actual sales.
The Back In Stock Notification Email is sent to customers who joined the waitlist for a sold-out product, giving them a direct path back to your store while their interest is still high.
You can customize this email in Notifications > Back In Stock, click Edit, and adjust the message to match your store’s tone and style.
